I'm having my 440 gone through at an engine shop. Very basic rebuild, just to put it back on the road after sitting in a garage for who knows how long. As I couldn't get a correct '70 engine, I settled for a '69. It's a regular 350hp version, but I've asked them to refresh it with HP pieces.
Now, for the left hand HP manifold I have two pieces. The upper one, #2951216, and the lower one, #2863409. But which would be correct for a 1970 model year?

Yes Kim, I know. I wasn’t posting this picture as an item to sell, it was for comparison purposes only. When you compare the pictures, you can see what FuryGT is talking about when it comes to the flange angle. Apparently, this mattered for some reason in the 1970-71 model years between the 383 and 440 engines, but didn’t in the 1968-69 model years. If you try to reference the casting numbers, the application depends on the source.. FuryGT doesn’t seem to believe anything but what his reference material shows.. and that’s ok with me. I just choose to use more then one source.. that’s all.3 1/2 year old ad. Kim
