So I'm pretty sure I need a new turn signal flasher. I am unsure what I need for my car. 1970 Sport Fury with turn signals mounted in the hood. Does anyone know? Is it 2932877?

Essentially my turn signal switch still works. But the don't flash well and the great under dash "click" when you turn your signal on no longer clicks. So is this flasher on/near the fuse box or under dash?

I forget exact location, but there are two flashers, one for turn signals and one for the emergency 4 way flashers. One is "clipped" to the lower part of the steering column and the other is I believe clipped to the left rear of the ashtray frame. I seem to recall, one has two pins and the other has three.

Ah, that's right--the one on the ashtray frame. You know, I was looking at all those relays and whatnot on the right side of the dash when I was reinstalling everything and I knew I should have replaced all of them. Oh well. Live and learn.

Both flashers are identical and have two connections. Pretty generic too.

Go to your local Advance Autozone NAPA store and buy either a regular duty or a heavy duty flasher. The difference being a HD flasher is needed if you had additional lights, like on a trailer. It also will flash with a light out, something a regular flasher won't do.

If you want to know which flasher is which, turn on your emergency flashers. Grab the flasher and if it's clicking, it's the emergency and if it's not, it's your turn signal flasher.

Actually, the old ones are probably going to last longer than any of the new offshore crap they sell.

So as an update: received my NOS Mopar flasher. Took the old one off, which ended up actually not being old at all. It looks like a brand new Chinese made one was installed in the not too distant past. Installed the NOS one. Works great.

I guess the moral to the story is, as stated above: skip the Chinese made junk if at all possible. I might actually pick up a spare NOS Mopar flasher so I have one handy when needed.
