Who the hell is buying this?????

I could not believe my eyes as we passed by...the school bus driver had about 4 or 5 kids aboard as the cops interrogated him on the side of the road. WHAT was he thinking....and I wonder if the kids parents will find out or will his bus drivers union try to downplay it. It was incredible to see.

Back then? I think Bob should be offended by that. ;)

I'm cool.......it's just reality of my time. I can say that I was in 3rd grade when Kennedy was assassinated, I remember it clear as day, all of us were sent home from school that day. Seen Oswald murdered live on black & white TV, saw the Kennedy funeral to Arlington. The country truly mourned Kennedy. I took my Mom to Arlington around 2002 and she was crying quite hard when she saw the eternal flame at his gravesite. Saw Armstrong land on the moon live, was around all the segration marches, battles, riots, assasinations of King and RFK. Vietnam...........every day! Hippies, flower power, free love, greatest rock and roll ever! Bought a 1969 SuperBee for my first car in 1971! Bought a brand new 1973 Challenger. Joined the Army in 1976. Besides eating lead paint chips.......it's been no regrets and a hell of a ride so far!!!!

Still in crew cut mode, you could go back to hippie now after military service. :)

Nope.....just can't do it. LOL!!! I tried letting it grow a little. Just couldn't handle hair touching my ears.

I usually let it grow for a couple months and then get a very short crew cut. Cheapskate. :)

I'm still in military mode and get my haircut every 2-3 weeks. Same barber for the last 15 years.

You don't need to change one thing.
BTW, I'd love to see you post some really nice shots of your car. It's looking good!

It's still a 10' car. It'll look better by Carlisle. It'll have the new carpet, new (used leather seats), the mirrors and door handles from the Texas car, I still need the 2 front lower door panels, and bodywork and paint which might not happen this year. Bodywork and paint maybe next winter. Still need a ton of other parts like all weatherstripping.

I didnt become a police officer because I wouldnt cut my hair

I had long hair in 1976... everyone basically was a hippie with the long hair. I knew going in that the haircut was part of the job. Everything we did in Basic Training seemed to be timed. It was amazing how fast haircuts, immunizations, eating chow, and doing any thing in mass. I think we would have 200 people go through the chow hall start to finish in 20 minutes. No problem..........

By the way, I was one of the very last of the Vietnam Era Soldiers to enlist.

Yep, I can change a lot of things but I couldn't even think of changing hair styles.
