Windshield compatibility

Depends. A 2 door sedan or hardtop windshield will fit a 4 door hardtop, but not a 4 door sedan.

Ok, so since I have only had four C bodies so far I am unfamiliar with the difference in a Sedan and a hardtop. I know there is a fender tag stamp code that is different but I am unsure what the actual difference is.
I have a 71 newport Custom. CL43 making it a "hard top".

As I am reading this it appears the 43 Hardtop is the same as a 2 door and convertible.
That would be the same from 1969-1971.
Not just the newport, but the new yorker as well as the 300. 2 door, convertible and hardtops.

Am I reading that correctly?

2 door sedan, Is the 2 door sedan's windshield different as the 4 door sedan is different?
Does the 2 door sedan work with the 4 door sedan windshield?

Sedan windshields are the same as wagons, correct?

I have a few pontiacs and as I recall they are referred to as "post" cars.

Only two windshields for the fuselage cars.

One windshield is for 4 door sedans and wagons. The other windshield fits 2 door sedans, 2 door hardtops, convertibles, fast top, and 4 door hardtops

A 2 door sedan windshield will not fit a 4 door sedan.

A Pontiac windshield will fit in the back of any C-body wagon.
