The method that @Big_John recommended looks cleaner when done and does not stretch the fuse clip by trying to add an extra piece of metal in with the fuse. Those other ones you linked to are the way to go for adding circuits if you have blade-style fuses though.
Did a test run of wiring the gauges and toggle switch yesterday. I used a piggyback spade connection on the terminal labeled in the manual as, "Spotlight/Console feed" (It was empty). Is this a connection that would be an "Accessory: Hot only when the key is in the Run or Accessory position."
