Woke up to this

I started taking it apart. Scrapping the ice as I went. I used a big long screw driver to wedge the ice up. The a broom to push it off the panels. The Cuda's roof is bad. I think I can save the carport. Or at least most of it.

You don't play around...

Sorry the Cuda took that hit... how bad will wait for warmer weather... hopefully she can be straightened.

I had the same thought, at least it didn't get the barracuda rear glass I believe those are almost impossible to find.

Easy to find if you are willing to pay more than for a complete car... you are right... that would have made a huge difference in the damage.

I took my fist & poped it out on the driver side. The pass side put up a fight. I need to get the rest of the carport off it & can a better angle to throw a hard left hook. LoL. If that don't work I'll get my rubber mallet & whack it

It snapped all 8 post. However these are just are just angled pieces that slid into each tube. Should be able to buy new ones

Rear glass is fine. I put the rear glass in this car. When I got it the rear glass was busted. That's why it has the red around the glass. I was going to do a color change

Awesome... no creases? You lucked out if that's the case... excellent lemonade Bob!

seems like your in better sprits at least...glad its not so bad as it seemed

You probably know that homeowners insurance does NOT cover vehicles at all. I know some of you think that it does, but it will not cover vehicles at all.

Sorry to see this, Bob. We got nailed with a few good gusts around 11:30 that night then it settled down. I have similar fears of hearing a crash and finding a big pine across our carport.

Did it actually fall sideways or just drop straight down from the weight? Doesn't take much ice accumulation to bring something like that down. It'll find the weak points pretty fast. Especially when you add in the rain that alternated between the snow and ice layers.

If you need another set of hands, give a holler. Off to VA next week but should be around this weekend. As ol' Ma B says, "he ain't too bright but he kin lift heavy things". :D

It fell to the side. I bought another one tonite from a buddy. I'll salvage what I can from the old one & maybe use it to make an addition.
