One of the adjustments is inside the box. The worm gear shaft piston power train assembly preload adjustment. It controls the all-important reaction springs. That's what gives the steering box it's personality and feel, as in firm or fingertip steering boost. It's a major pain to adjust. And the steering column must be retracted into the cabin (says Chrysler) to remove the steering box to adjust that power train assembly.
Then there's the centering valve assembly. It's on top of the box, and not difficult to adjust. Very intuitive if it's not right.
The other one is the sector shaft that the pitman arm is attached to. It's the easy one on top of the box that we all mess with hoping it will fix all ailments.
