Woo Hooo Took the 300 out last night!

Yea... the thought occurred to me to take the 300... I'm gonna take my company car (Vlad the Impala) instead. It's easier to drive and park a regular car in a strange town. One less worry.
Sorry....... Not valid reasons....LOL.
NO WAY any Impala ever made will go down the road better then that 300...... And being paranoid about parking....? Two things... car cover, insurance & AAA.... OK..three things.
I got my 69 300 road worthy early last November and have driving het over 4500 miles since..... Including two road trips of 2000 miles and 900 miles.

SO...... Don't you feel shamed now....:weg:?

Sometimes I worry about where I park. Then I think to myself "What exactly are the spooks gonna do with a forest green land yacht?" It doesn't exactly blend in as well as a generic 2000 Civic.

That is funny, you should hear what my grandma calls them and she's not being racist, she's just 99 years old!

You all realize things are going to change big time when we get our first black member........... :thinker:
No more Clown Car... :icon_sad:

First time out with the car. We went to a cruise night at lake front beach and had dinner at a restaurant there. Had the top down the whole time!

Saw this unrestored '56 300.

We're headed off on vacation today, so I won't get a chance to drive it again for a week.

Nice touch with the yellow bottle cap there...:poke:

Nope. When mine goes for a drive it leaves the driveway and then goes back into the driveway. The are no stops and no parking of the car anywhere except my driveway. Can't trust anybody. Remember, when I took my car to the first place that botched the alignment, a fellow takes the car from front to back. He saw me watching him like a hawk. After that the next three cars he parked he allowed their front bumpers to hit the chain link fence. Granted I'm steel while those were new car plastic painted bumpers.

Two owners ago at least on that one. It's that vinyl side molding so popular with used car dealers. I don't like it. It will come off soon.

I'm not real crazy about the spotlights either, but they add "character" to the car, so the jury is out on that one.

The car and the spotlights are badass John .. i would be keeping them but whatever, it's still a bad *** car.

Been fighting with myself over those spotlights. They need to go but fixing the holes flawlessly will be a PITA. Leave them be I think.

The car came with spare A pillar moldings, inside and out. The hole in the A pillar will still be there, but you won't see it. I could MIG up the hole if push came to shove.

Oh yea... the Impala is a POS. No doubt about it. The ONLY reason I'm driving it is I needed a vehicle. After I canned our sales manager, his car was sitting in the warehouse and we still owed money on it. He really trashed the car and honestly, I want to hire him back just to fire him again, but that's another story. I'm gonna drive it for a year and trade it.

I've had cars damaged on trips before. Especially in hotel lots. One car (73 Barracuda) was destroyed by drunks. Right now the Impala is sitting in a full hotel lot. No chance for that prime parking spot away from people. If the Impala gets door dinged it will just be another one in a long series of dings and dents.
