WTF has happened to VHT SP126???? OUTRAGEOUS!

I was just having this conversation with some regarding automotive paints. They changed the formulation (and equipment) to produce a more environmentally friendly paint. Costs being passed on to us….like everything else.

I have an idea shared by many, keep the old cars running and minimize the automotive waste….instead of having some poor kid mining toxic minerals for our EV batteries across the world and shipping it here, only to bury it in the future as extremely toxic waste. I digress.

Nah, we'll shoot that toxic stuff into outer space. We'll have Boeing do it and it will stay up there, unable to return.

THEY don't want us rolling in anything made of American Steel, or carrying any by our hip, or in our pockets. THEY want to plant cheap Android embedded snitches up our arse's, so they can then bend us over and cornhole us out of our last cent at their leisure. WAY too many FOOLS will GIVE THIS TO THEM TOO! I say, "Molon labe."
NAILED IT !

Ah, but your idea, while Ecologically Responsible, as well as Proletarian Friendly* is NOT NEARLY AS PROFITABLE AS THE ABSURD CHICKEN LITTLE IDIOT CRAPITALISM PLANNED FOR DECADES TO SCREW US TO OUR COLLECTIVE GRAVE!

*Such really IS FAR friendlier to working folks than this EV filth as contrived. We COULD HAVE HAD ELECTRIC CARS AT ANY TIME SINCE THEIR INVENTION!!! We COULD ALSO HAVE HAD MASS TRANSIT! What The Pigs WANT is an IMMOBILE SUBJECT POPULACE, monitored right down to their very metabolism, and controlled so also.

The supply chain issue you are dealing with is because Duplicolor, a subsidiary of Sherwin-Williams, has acquired VHT some time ago. That is when everything went down hill. Many manufacturer specific engine paints were duplicated between the brands and after a short time the VHT product line started to shrink. In fact, the last 5-6 cans of VHT that we ended up with were horrible quality. Everything from the caps to the pressure charge. I had one can of high temp black that had the valve break off when I popped the cap off.

It made it most of the way out of the shop door before exploding in the driveway.

RIP VHT

...or the great covid reset companies have taken advantage of. Parts stores like Autozone have gutted themselves of anything from this era. With in a couple months last yr they stopped carrying valley pans even online. No brake pads even into the 80's. Back to the paint, something happened to the VHT black satin over the last couple yrs to. It went semi-gloss to the point there's no difference btwn the 2. The matte finish it had is gone...

Man, I understand the frustration. I have a friend in Germany that has yet found a good spraypaint because VHT and anything that is good and worked was BANNED there for whatever reason. Luckly I left that country 10 years ago but I already saw the decline in available GOOD consumer paint products already back then when I needed some Nitro to paint homebuild guitars. The German government thinks they save the planet by doing this and the consumer has 0 options for consumer paint products that are decent. High heat paint? No...engine enamel that last? No... it all has to be "environment friendly" meaning "waterbased". I constantly show him good products for his projects and he cant even import them from the UK as usually possible. The last thing was a new Rusoleum high heat exhaust paint i suggested him for his motocycle exhaust... not available...not even for import. Wow. Maybe they are doing this here in the US too somehow and that drives up the Price?
