MLB 2014 Season - any other Baseball fans out there ?

AL - Down to 6 teams within 6 games of the Div leaders this week ... Royals are on a Mad streak .. 24 - 6 since 22 August !! Tigers are doing a great job staying close though. Oakland and LAA still duking it out, and Orioles still cranking the HRs
NL - Also 6 teams within 6 in the NL today. Washington doing a lot of Winning but Atlanta isn't giving up, STL offense finally decided to score some runs lately, Pirates still in the hunt and slapped the Brew Crew around the last couple days, and Dodgers and Giants the only show in the NL West
Wild Cards .... not the best way to get the the post season but it's better than the alternative if you don't win the division
Looks like the 2 WC teams which will have a 1 game playoff to see who goes through to the ALDS and NLDS will come from:
AL: Oakland or LAA will be one and the other will be one of Seattle, Detroit, or KC
NL: Will be 2 of the following or Brewers or Dodgers so the NL is still wide open esp the NL Central

LAA's Hot and have pulled ahead by 5 games over the A's but both teams are putting up a lot of runs, and Orioles still cranking the HRs in their Band box
NL - 7 teams within 6 in the NL or vying for a WC spot today. Washington has fallen back to earth and Atlanta has gained a game on them, the Cards offense finally decided to score some runs lately .. even though they are the only team in the hunt with a negative run diff which actually increased over the last week, Pittsburgh still fighting and are only 2 back from the Brew Crew, and the Giants on a 7-3 10 game roll are now 2.5 back of the Dodgers

Royals increased their lead to 2.5 after last week when the Tigers were .5 back, LAA's are maintaining over the A's who've had a really bad 2-8 streak while the angels are 8-2 ... still WOW AL West, and Baltimore continues to rule the East.
NL - 7 viable teams in the NL. Washington with a pretty secure lead over the Braves, the Cards finally in 1st ... for now at least .. still notably the only team in contention with a negative run diff which increased again over last week, Pittsburgh hanging close, and the Giants at 1.5 back of the other team claiming to be in LA and 8-2 over past 10 days.

WC standings as of this morning. There will be 2 WCs from each league who will play a one game winner takes all game to determine the single WC for each league in the Divisions Playoff series

AL - 6 based ball fandoms have a shot at free baseball October .. for at least one game anyway. Detroit caught the Royals YaY for Matt !, and the Angels keep winning and have more than doubled their lead over the A's ... now at double digits down in the division which happens when you are still 2-8 for the 2nd week in a row while your chasing a team that was, 8-2 and today is 10-0 over the last 10 games and have a ML best .628 best in BB Winning pct ... The former StL Browns continue to own the AL East and have the second best record in MLB.
