Seeing Mark's Overheating topic got me thinking.

My car had a 22" from the factory and I sourced a 28" from a '79 Cordoba with a 360 and the Trans cooler for the Fury.

Is there a difference in the rad supports? 22" VS 26"?

Will I be able to get the 28" to fit on my 22" rad support without interference with the battery tray?

Nick

Yes, the supports are different. The differences are the air opening and the bolt holes.

A 28" radiator? Dont know about that..........

i had a 26" in my car with a 22" core support temporarily. you can hook up one side or the other, but not both. the physical mounts are the same, just farther apart, so one side of the radiator will be partially blocked by the support. the 22" in my car is somewhat of an odd duck in that the inlet and outlet are both on the left side. i have been searching on and off for a replacement for the last couple of years. any i have found are either trash or $500-600. if this is the case with yours you would be better off to change the support and switch to a 26" while you have it apart. these are easily sourced. the lower hose will be the same but the upper will connect to the passenger side, so order a long hose for an a/c car.
