Can someone help me with removing the rear interior panel to access my window motor? I have removed the seat and back but can't get the fastener loose that is behind the rear armrest. I'm afraid of breaking something. In the meantime I removed all the rear seat belts and have soaked in oxyclean first then the oxy and laundry detergent second. I rinsed and dried and they look great and are flexible again and the fading is minimalized enough that I can live with it.

There are no real secrets to removing the rear side panels. Did you remove the screws that hold the boot snaps ....? They go into a metal bracket....

Didn't get there yet but thanks. The upper armrest seems to be attached or hooked to something. What kind of fastener is at that location? Thanks for the help too

check the underside of the armrest right under where you arm goes, where it starts to taper back toward the door panel.

I forget for sure but there might be 2 screws under that much like the location of the ones on the front door armrest. That plastic piece does come out separately and until you do get it out you cannot remove the door panel. I cannot remeber for sure but I'd swear there are screws that go right up like the front armrest screws do because I almost bent one of the brackets on my rag.

take a look @ this. see the brackets? one comes in front of the top cylinder and the other is 4-5" in front of it. Those should be what is holding the armrest on. you may want to try gripping the head of the screw/bolt if possible with a pliers if it's turning on the backside. I think there is just a sleeve holding it in which may be stripped out.
