Many of the high end collectors are so wealthy that the percentage of there discretionary spending scales to the equivalent of a regular guy buying a $500 beater.

I remember, and Im sure others will as well. Back when a guy bought one of the convertible hemi cudas. He told the story when interviewed about when he restored an AAR that he could afford it when he built it and was too terrified of it getting damaged to drive it. Ultimately he sold it to raise money to start a business.

When he came to the auction as a wealthy man he said he didn't regret selling the car to start his business but he regretted not driving the AAR. he said him and his wife were driving the Cuda home cross country from the auction .

It costs the same to fix as the plane Jane car if it gets banged up... I would drive it a fair bit.

Is the car restored or as original. Some of the pictures show some hard wear and ruined seats. For that price, it needs to be fully restored to better than new.

Something has changed, as old pictures show a "300-H" emblem above the front side markers. Who knows when or how that happened. Restoration? Or maybe they just fell off over time. Either way, there is one "difference."

For those of you with a spare $100,000 plus laying around - at least that’s what I would guesstimate the trade cars to go for.

Nothing consistent about the pictures. One has 2 hurst decals on left quarter panel. others do not. Many have the 300-H on front fenders but not all do and even one in a car show still did have it but not others. Very strange and disconcerting.

The decals were probably from ad campaigns, because the car was for marketing, so I would expect to see those changes.

As would I, maybe thats why its still for sale... well that, or maybe the price is pretty up there since the car is like a 6BBL GT and in a league all its own. I thought for sure that everyone would be chompin at the bit to buy it… so maybe its meant to be that Trev keeps it, but maybe he is just feelin it out.

Exactly.

It's a car that has to have the right owner. There has to be a balance of upkeep and preservation. Anything else would do the car a disservice.

I agree with you Dave and John on the car having the right pocket and caretaker since its such a rare and special car… but when I was talking about “everyone” I meant especially Mopar and car people in general, or like a high dollar collector, or a racing museum of some sort. People who remember it, people who appreciate it for what it is. Those kind of people, if that makes sense. I hope you guys understand what I’m tryin to say. There’s GOTTA BE someone who wants it, BUT granted… it will definitely take time like you guys said. I just did not ever think or expect Trev would EVER sell it, BUT I also understand that **** happens and ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
