1978 Newport Door Seal Weatherstrip Needed

Have a 1978 Newport 4 door, I'm looking for new door seal weatherstrips, does anyone know if they are available new? I can't seem to find any. Appreciate any help.

At this point they are not available. You can likely by the basic extrusion, and just cut off the moulded ends from your originals and glue them on.

That's what I did way back when, when I restored my first C body - NOTHING was available then!

Just make sure you align the tab holes for attaching the new extrusion to where they sit on the orignal, so it installs properly.

I will have to find the part # again somewhere. There is a GM door seal part # that works just fine. It looks a little different, but no one will ever know.

Great suggestion, I did that with the roof seals. My molded ends really suck and hoped to find new or better. Thx!
