CM23U0C220587 -- new one? No photo of the engine bay or trunk, or of the underside.

$24k ask. @david hill @Trace 300 Hurst

From the ad: "Solid car, matching original U code 440/727 motor transmission, a original Chrysler 300 HURST performance edition all parts are here. All air-conditioning parts are here correct air breather. The seats were recovered years back, but they need to be touched up as for the car it will crank and drive but it does need restoration unless you would like drive it as an old rat rod car has all four original wheels and has a valid title. Please keep your rude comments to yourself. I don’t think that is too much to ask. If you don’t agree with the price, there’s no need in making negative comments."

@ayilar the door decal didn't show up in the Hurst Registry. I did reach out to the seller for more info and fender tag info. Have confirmed this is a new find.

This car is not in the Registry (it is now), nor is it in the various 300 Club lists that I have. David Hill has requested additional info (such as the Fender Tag) from the Seller [as he said above :wideyed: ]

Feet were also on a cushion….so I was thinking the same thing. And that’s probably why we won’t get a pic of the Fender Tag.
The pics with the feet in them lead me to think that the person taking photos is riding around in a scooter or chair....
I think the photographer was standing on a chair to get "arial shots".

Would be good to see the door panels and the rest of the interior. Sounds like it drives. Looks to be down on the suspension. The Pic that is about a foot or so away from the hood there appears to be a small crack in the fiberglass.

The listing is not available any longer.

Did it actually sell for this price?
Any more info from anyone?

I spoke with the seller last week. He pulled it from FB as he decided to take on the resto himself. He shared with me a few more pics beyond what was posted. The tranny was not numbers matching and for some reason the fender tag was missing. The seller said that it was running and drivable when he acquired it 4+ years ago but it has been sitting since then.

Thanks for that update. Sadly, the missing Fender Tag makes this poor Hurst of no further interest regarding the Registry database.

“decided to take on the resto himself.”

Yeah….good luck with that.
Don't give up so easily. A broadcast sheet can supply the same information that you need for your registry. Just takes a little care from the owner.
Perhaps someone who has spoken to him will entertain him with this forum for information and he will come here and share that broadcast sheet with us.
I doubt it has a build sheet, but that would be even better to see a build sheet come up as well as a broadcast sheet.

C bodies seem to all have a broadcast sheet somewhere.
What I search for in my simple registry is difficult because the majority of E bodies do not retain their broadcast sheets. Neither from the factory or from all the hands that have been on the barracuda's in each ones lives.
Just to mention my little registry/list. The M46 List Click that.....

That’s a very good point. Maybe David can work that angle.

I looked at your list. When I sold my ‘71 in 1999 after 21 years I retained zero information about it. When I bought it cheap in ’78 the BS and FT were things we usually threw away. Especially the FT that was always cutting your forearms or snagging your shop rag.

Have no idea where it might be now.

Yeah, those fender tags are a pain in the rear and a lot of Ebodies had them removed due to a small inner fender and the forearms really just rest right on them. Plus, E bodies are hot rods. Who wants ugly looking tags and such in the HOT engine bay? not many.
Very unfortunate how often those tags are removed.
Did you not even keep record of the vin tag sequence of your 71?

I purchased a survivor 1970 Challenger R/T 440-6, auto, w/super track pac (Mr Norm car) in 1986, never once did I look at the fender tag , just wasn't important, but i remember vin# JS 23V0B121060
