1958 Dodge Coronet Swept Wing 4Dr w/ 26k original miles. Arizona car in collector condition. Everything is original, interior is virtually flawless, body is solid w/ only one small spot of rust. Underside is very clean, 325 cross-over V8 runs smoothly, all lights work including the dashboard. This car was very well maintained and shows it.

A four door hard top............. WOW. Worth almost as much as a two door hardtop and more then a two door sedan. IMHO.

Must be a flipper. I've not heard a 58 Dodge called a "flight wing", or do I know what a "cross over V8" is.

Should have called it a wide block to stay off your flipper radar lol.

That is a beautiful frame rail.

[h=1]1957 Dodge Coronet - Classic Car Price Guide[/h][h=2]History of the 1957-1959 Dodge Coronet[/h]
Like the rest of the Chrysler Corporation, the entry-level 1957 Dodge Coronet received a drastic new design courtesy of Virgil Exner. The “Forward Look” styling, dubbed “swept wing” for the Dodge nameplate, featured tall, sweeping fins, copious amounts of chrome trim, wraparound windshields, and exhaust-style taillights.

Classic car price guide......... That's an editorial embellishment. We all know Chrysler refered to the fins as vertical stabilizers...... Even Gary knows that.

I was just showing that he grabbed stuff off the internet to make himself sound educated.
Like the ebay ads.
Two sentences describing the vehicle itself.
10 paragraphs of Wiki copy and paste.

They used the Swept Wing term in ads and brochures rather often, think I even have one of those somewhere.

It's a really nice car, whatever you call it's fins.

I call them beautiful.
People, please do not try and analyze their mechanical function. There is none.
Their function is to evoke emotion that characterizes the times.

No one critisizes a Tiffany Lamp yet they are bodacious and outrageous in appearance when all you need is a bulb and a simple shade...

:laughing4: No worries. That's the Basement, house is completely rewired. Moving up next week to the rooms with a view.
