While in my 06 F150 tonight, I decided to flip on the radio while waiting for someone. That's unusual for me because I rarely turn on the radio anytime.
So, I give the key in the ignition a little tug CCW to put it in the ACC position. Couldn't do it. WTF? Something stuck? So I look.
There's no ACC position on the switch, dammit!!!
When did they slip that in on us? Zeezes, first it was vent windows, then rain gutters, now this.
What stupid gum'mint regulation was that for.
Now I have to energize the whole damn car to play a radio?
World is going to hell...

Must be a Ford thing... not in any of my family's cars. Our 2008 Lincoln has an ACC postition.

On most newer vehicles I have found that the accessory position is the first stop clockwise. Off/Acc/Run/Start. Maybe it's one of Ford's better ideas.

Umm from the Ford Owners Manual 2006 F150

Same on my Titan Stan.

First position clockwise is the ACC position.

Does not your radio turn on without using ACC? I know in my 2004 Ford Focus all you have to do is push in the on button for the radio and that is it. No need to fool with the ignition.

I am assuming you do not drive your new schtuff that often,eh?? LOL!!

I seem to recall a quotation somewhere, "Intelligence is quickness in seeing things as they are." Now where did I see that?

Absolutely.
And I saw it was NOT in the the first position CCW where God intended... :p
What's next. No carburetors???

Well that is just plain wrong then. What was the point of moving the ACC position?
Stupid. Just plain stupid :p

It's cheaper to make for one thing and remember, the world is full of dumb asses that can't figure out how to remove the key in accessory. Saves service calls.

Nothing to do with this, but remember when you could turn a GM key to accessory and then remove the key?

Just messin with ya Stan, truth is whenever I see one of your great comments I get A4 silver with envy.
