I have been working on my new (to me) race car a lot recently. I installed an aluminum manual steering box & cleaned & inspected all the steering linkage. While I had that out I cleaned them up nicely & install super HIPO Red tie Rod boots. My calculations are that the Red boots should be worth a full tenth (.010) in reduction of the quarter mile ET. Getting a lot of push back on that. Some even saying there will be no improvement in ET at all from the Red tie Rod boots. So reluctantly I have decided to share my engineering drawings to prove my claim. If you study these drawings it's quite clear how I came to the full tenth improvement in performance.

I will have to agree with you C Body Bob.The newer silicone based boots have a lower wind resistance co-efficiency than natural rubber, thus in theory your findings may be correct.

Thank you. My findings exactly. I was able to hook up a series of 1100 watt hair driers on a pivoting table to simulate wind resistance. Powered by two 4500 watt generators. My co-efficient drag numbers I'm not gong to publish. I just can't give all my secrets away

Just remember each of those spark plug washers are good for 1HP too. You got a V8, might as well triple em up and get 24HP lol. Add a picnic table wing on the back it adds an incredible full 50hp

I bought a "Go Wing" at a swap meet that I plan to install after initial testing is confirmed on the Super HIPO Red tie Rod boots. I can modify my 1100 watt hair drier stand to flow over the roof onto the deck lid.

You have permission to copy my drawings. Don't sell them. My legal team will fax you a request release form. #1867-349 Part B

thats it only has 69k on it , still has stock exhaust system . but some helper coils from the rear end to the frame . and busted masson jams n lids mixed in to the straw coming out from the trunk area besides the back seat , and in the trunk as well . long story about that car . was looking for a 62 dart at a swapmeet in sacramento california , was just asking everyone that had a mopar at the event . ask this older guy standing next to a beautiful 65 sat commando 383 4spd car red / black interior . what a beauty it was . he said no 62 , but i got the sister car to this 65 . so off we go , to check it out . it turned out to be its sister alright . but it has air too , a 4spd car with air ! his didn't have that . he bought his new red one in arkansas and his bud bought this white one also , got a deal on it , do to it being a salemen sample car . had too many miles on her to sell it as a new car totally . had to wait for the next years models to hit the lot , then they could complete the sale , but it was paid for . so he had his car sitting at the dealership , and talked them into letting him take it to the track . but far from that , he ran shine with it . it was a un-owned , un-reg un-lic , no paper trail to get him with . so that its start in life , shine runner . he retired it off and was going to turn it into a chicken coupe , when the bud here called him and brought it out here to california . still has the stock trunk mat and jack in it . been polished so many times the paints wore off down to the primer . and thanks for permission to build your design , bud .
