I am not so sure how nice this car really is. The seller notes the rust below the rear window and in the lower driver quarter behind the rear wheel, but it also looks like at least some work has been done to that rear quarter, especially just behind the driver door where it is wavy and the paint seems dull, and in the rest of that quarter as well so I am doubting the all original paint claim. And I really doubt that the interior is all original either, as those front bucket seats look like vinyl to me, and the original leather would have surely had creases/cracks in it by now. And 91K miles is a lot for those cars, and probably little of their fussy electrics probably still work that well, such as the autotemp, sequential turn signals, headlamp doors and I wonder about the door locks and windows.

Car merits a look before buying IMO, and a complete rundown on what works and doesn't work is in order too.

This one is new to me. I think I’d remember those f#%king stupid fog lights.

With These vintage California plates they're probably Smog lights.

You mean the headlight-doors-dont-open "hack" as the young people say?

Still, this car is very appealing. On paper I'd never consider those colors, but in pictures it speaks to me.

Think the guy will trade for the 318-4/3.23 SG/T-top/console Mirada I should* be driving to Spring Fling?

*if everything works at the border.

Maybe that's his version of the "super light", which I've never really gotten the "attraction" of either, but that's a discussion for another day.

Rust on the quarters is one thing, but if you zoom in, there is actually holes there. And the vinyl top seems very lumpy under there.
Pretty color, even though I think Steve is correct they look vinyl. Lots of options too it seems.

I'd say at no more than $4k imho

So much better without but I thought by ‘69 they were mandatory.

Optional before January 1st 1969. Mandated afterwards. I'm sure the cost of the change orders, repairs for misbuilds, inventory space and other costs exceeded the per unit costs of the actual headrests.

I defend a lot of things from the olden days by telling people to view "in context", but a lot of logistical decisions back then were plain ol' stupid.

It's very uncharacteristic of me to like safety equipment, but I think low-back buckets look weird.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say headrests would ruin this view but they would most certainly detract from it.

Everybody usually go "That's a lotta green", when a green on green car pops up, so let me say it here..

"That's a lotta brown"!

Imagine this beauty with white interior (or black) with the gold exterior! Apart from that, the seats seems ot be in GREAT condition!

and "poof" ad is gone and Imperial on its way to the harbour I guess

This 69 Imperial for sale was only some 20 miles away from me, and even I don't know who snagged it this time! I wish them luck, as they will need it and a lot of patience and $$$ or euros..............................
