    4-speed firewall pics

Hey Fury Fan, Yes, that clutch rod hole is substantial. I was able to get the boot from Brewers, so I’ll just trace it out on the firewall. Man I would love to be part of your get together’s in the future. Thank You for the invite. I was actually born at Fort Benjamin Harris army base in 60 in...

    4-speed firewall pics

Looks like the torque shaft runs basically parallel to the firewall. Also the hole for the clutch rod is rather large so location isn’t real critical. Once again fury fan, I can’t tell ya how much your pics help in getting this installed in the right location.

    4-speed firewall pics

Hey Fury Fan, Thank You so much for the great pics. I agree about locating everything with a mockup, but it sure helps seeing it all set up installed. I see the shaft bracket is on a slight angle. I’m lucky to have been able to find all the stock stuff for the 4-speed conversion. Started...

    4-speed firewall pics

Yes, I was sorta figuring that would be the best way to start. Sure every vehicle might be a little different. Was hoping to see exactly where the hole would have to be for the clutch rod coming thru the firewall. Thank You for your response.

    4-speed firewall pics

Hey Fury Fan, Yes, still working on it. Would truly appreciate any kind of photos you could come up with. I know I’ll have to get it all set up on the car and locate the bracket but it would really help seeing one installed especially from the factory. Thank You

    4-speed firewall pics

Hey everybody, Asking all 4-speed owners. I’m converting my 65 Sport Fury from console shift automatic to 4-speed. Would anybody have pics of their firewall showing where the clutch rod comes thru the firewall along with the z-bar attached to the frame bracket. Sorta want to get an idea where to...

Got my 66 383 block back from the machine shop

Just my humble opinion, I’m no expert. Everyone says to go roller on the cam. I’m at the same place with my 440 build that you are. I’ve decided to go with an Isky hydraulic flat tappet with Isky lifters. Mild lift. .460 lift.Key Is I believe is seat pressure at break in. Will be using my old...

Got my 66 383 block back from the machine shop

If you purchased the rings from your machine shop at the same time you had the machine work, they should have matched your final hone to the proper cross- hatch finish. Best thing to do is call and confirm.

Got my 66 383 block back from the machine shop

Hey Cartel, I’ve talked to a few Engine builders and they said perfect cam bearing alignment is desirable but the 75% that is open like yours is totally acceptable and okay. There will be plenty of oil pressure and flow. As far as the lifter bores, did you pay to have them honed? If not, they...

    Radiator, recore or replace?

+1 on Glen Ray. I purchased a 65 Sport Fury which didn’t have a radiator. Called Murray Park which had an original for my car. $200.00 for the radiator shipped directly to Glen Ray. $1,000.00 to have it completely restored and they even included the bolts to attach my shroud which is an oddball...

Question about Power brake assembly compatibility

Thank You Ross, Great advice. I believe it would be wise to just go with everything I’ve been rounding up over the years. Plus it’s all Chrysler stock items.
