went to the mainland today and picked this up.
ive been wanting a 57,58 or 60,61 for a long time.
i already have fuselages and formals so now i have the 3 F's.
i was expecting id have to import 1 to BC and id wind up settling for a newport/windsor/saratoga 4dr htop.
never expected to find another new yorker 2dr; my buddy had found a toreador red new yorker 2 years ago and we didnt think any more BC regi'd 1s would pop up again here.
UU1 Autumn Haze Poly - it looks like a gold/silver/light bronze/olive green mix.
the colour changes abit depending on the light.
pw, p seat, golden touch radio, passenger side mirror.
all the power stuff works - and the pw's are quick and smooth !
been in storage for 45 years until last september, floors & trunk are rock solid, little rust in driver's side rear 1/4 and the typical rust above the headlights. has 107k miles.
the 413 runs very smoothly and quietly.
it needs brakes, will be doing a dual master conversion asap.
we will go through it thoroughly and make sure everything is safe and reliable.
i have a swivel seat setup that will go in but not for at least a year.
i will repair the rust but havent decided if i want to paint it yet, the priority is the drivetrain, steering brakes, suspension and interior.
here's some pics on the ferry to Vancouver Island from the mainland
