    Got them moved to Fresno!

I'm sorry I missed the great trailer debate of 2023. But I had to kick the dust off this one. The uhaul design has to be the most proven bumper hitch pull car trailer that has ever existed in the history of such things and has likely logged more miles hauling C bodies and all the other cars than...

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

Finally got dual exhaust with a H pipe installed on the Newport today. It starts out as 2 1/4" at the manifold (original head pipe is 2") and then goes up to 2 1/2" once it gets to the torsion bars. The exhaust flows into a pair of Walker SoundFX 18381 mufflers and empties through a pair of...

440 engine making a noise that sounds like an exhaust leak, but no leak is found

Before any disassembly, get a long metal rod or screwdriver put it to your ear and go about trying to find EXACTLY the area from which the sound is coming from. Valve cover, timing cover, exhaust manifold...you get the idea. If nothing else, it's fun to hear what the inside of your motor...

My New (to Me) 73 Imperial LeBaron

Yes as Jefferson did not code A package codes like other plants did. You won't find many A series sales codes on a Jefferson plant tag (exceptions exist) Jefferson and Lynch Road plant had different tag coding protocols and formats compared to other plants.

My New (to Me) 73 Imperial LeBaron

Thank you. Yes, the car does not code for the Trailer Towing package so the hitch et al were probably added after purchase. However, it appears the buyer anticipated adding the hitch by buying the suspension.

440 engine making a noise that sounds like an exhaust leak, but no leak is found

Air is leaking by the rings, normal. Don't remove the valve cover, it's a waste of time. Remove the exhaust manifold, you will see the black soot at the leak, or a blown out manifold gasket.

    '67 Fury- Air Cleaner Question

I believe the raised ring around the wing nut is smaller in diameter on your air cleaner than the pie tin pictured...think the repop pie tins are made to fit the HP unsilenced or certain dual snorkel air cleaners

440 engine making a noise that sounds like an exhaust leak, but no leak is found

idk if it runs fine and just has a noise I'd be looking for a cracked exhaust manifold or gasket leak...even up into the heat riser on the intake...I'd at least give it a compression test and/or leakdown test before I started pulling the head
