Aw-oh, over-60 syndrome at work. Forgot my own post. Would have helped if I had favorited it. LOL Formal Rear Axle Dimensions Friend wants to trade his 77 axle for some 1992 van seats I have, that he wants to use in his 73 Charger. Was trying to figure out if I'd ever use the axle. No car for...

    Fuselage to Formal Axle Compatibility

Request the benefit of your expertise. Friend of mine has a low mileage 1977 Chrysler NY 9.25" rear. As far as installing it on 1972-1973 Dodge/Plymouth c-body, is it the same width as a 1972-1973 rear? same spring perches? Other fitment issues? Thanks Currently, my only c-body is 1970 Fury...

Swapping out a 1971 8¼ rear for a 1969 8¾ rear. Doable or go on the hunt for the correct rear?

for my 1970 Fury, I removed an 8.25 and installed an 8.75. 8.25 vs 8.75 did not make a difference in driveshaft length or u-joint size. 904 vs 727 however made a big difference, so when I converted from 904 to 727, the 904 driveshaft was replaced with a 727 driveshaft.

The only way you can do it in Virginia is with a bonded title, where you pay the aquisition cost as bond. This doubles the cost of the vehicle.

    Alternator or regulator.

Mechanical voltage regulators have a history of being unreliable. Yours is junk. I think some new one-wire voltage regulators are quality electronic units rather than the mechanical junk. You may want to PM @FURYGT for more info. See link below. For Sale - Reproduction Solid State (Electronic)...

69 Polara, removing tail light lenses

@ayilar I have not removed a 1969 Polara/Monaco bumper in many years. However, Generally, the bumper is moved/removed with the bumper brackets attached. 1. I don't think your car has a rear valence or wiring to lights in the bumper, so no action required for either 2. In the corners of the...

Electronic Ignition , Goop leaking out

OTOH, the glue stuff that leaks out of these boxes is a bear to clean off. I would replace it. Also, I have had Voltage Regulators do the same thing. I think because of overcharging. That heat cannot be helping the circuits in the ECU. I would concentrate on diagnosing why it's getting hot, then...
