Right city, wrong state. It's in MO, not MS. It's on the western edge of St. Louis, just off I-64 at Clayton Rd. He's a little info. Why Is There a Giant AMOCO Sign in St. Louis? - Saint Louis Bank Blog

The circular structure is a Gasometer-a natural gas storage tank that rises and falls with the amount of gas in it.

    69 fury spark plugs

Either you have carbon buildup, ignition timing is too advanced or the carb is jetted too lean. It darn sure shouldn't ping on premium fuel. IIRC that madel year used N14Y or equivalent and later years were one heat range colder, N13Y.

Sherwood Ford, at the corner of MO 367 (Lewis and Clark) and Lusher Rd, N. STL County. The original home of, "Bigfoot", one of the first monster trucks. No longer there, went out of business long ago. Bad reputation, I can personally attest to that. I bought a new 77 Mustang Cobra II there. Last...

According to my father, his father worked at the Hupmobile dealership in Hutchinson. Hupmobile bought the Chalmers auto company, so the dealer in the pic, Taylor Chalmers may be that dealer. But, from what I can find, the Hupmobile dealership was owned by a man named Dobrinski, so my speculation...

Retirement - what prompted you to do so?

In March of 2020 the boss walked into the shop and announced the three of us were being laid off due to, well, the flu. I had been there 37 years, was 64 and wanted to make to 40 years and tell em to pound sand. I started drawing SS at 63-1/2 and was banking every penny, so I didn't have to...

    Heavy Metal

A minor correction, if you please. The A-12 came BEFORE the SR-71, and I dunno how it could be considered an "attack" aircraft, it had no weapons other than cameras (they called them "sensors"). They stretched the fuselage in order to accommodate the "GIB" (guy in back) and to carry more fuel...

IF we actually reached the moon... I would submit the A-12/SR-71 programs had as much to do with the cancellation of the B-70 as anything else, along with ICBMs. Titanium, which had to be secured from Russia through shell companies was used extensively in the A-12, which first flew in 1962, and...

For Sale 1978 Chrysler Cordoba 400ci

In my world that ain't a bench seat. Dad had a 75 with 360, auto, console and leather. With 2.70ish gears it wouldn't win the stoplight wars but with the handling package it was on rails.

Crap, rear ended by a Tesla!

Don't Tesla's have on board cameras? His insurance should pay for it, not yours. And if they do tot it, don't fall for the "buy your own car back" scam. When a car is considered a total loss, they aren't buying it. They are covering the loss in value. The car is yours and the title is still in...
