Understood. I am fighting this same battle on my 67 Sport Fury. I have found two of the five OEM tail pieces, but three others are pitted. The metal is pretty sturdy though, and a re-chrome could be an option worth exploring.

How substantial is the metal? Can it be re-chromed?

My mechanic called them Hemi tips. They were definitely a factory option.

I have this car. Factory four speed. 440. Fast Top. Only one I have seen, but I haven't been looking forever. You can find that brochure on ebay for about 50 bucks. It is the greatest brochure ever. It is called Motion. By Plymouth.
