    Questions About 1973 Imperial

I have some more in my files, and that's without counting the ones that I have not tracked in this thread (I stopped tracking 1972-1973 Imperials sometime after I sold Elsie, my 1973 LeBaron 4dr)...

It says a fender was painted. Are we to assume the whole car has been repainted based on that?

question on transmission line cooler hose

I don't know what the running pressure is on the cooler lines but it is not high pressure that would blow a hose clamp off IMO. As far as a 727, they do tend to leak in a few places. One of the most popular places is at the kick down linkage lever. The best way to find the leak is to clean all...

question on transmission line cooler hose

Cooler pressure is quoted as 5-30psi in the shop manual. It will leak immediately on start up so don't go drive, it will just spread all over in bigger area. Clean and wrap the line with a paper towel and the leak will show itself quickly.

question on transmission line cooler hose

Does anyone know the pressure of the fluid in a transmission line cooler hose under operating conditions (in psi)? Reason is I'm trying to patch a transmission line in my 1975 New Yorker with 727 transmission. I'm debating on whether to use a cooler hose with 2 clamps on each end or a steel...

Yeah back when I did it we had a backhoe on the farm and that broke it down pretty fast, fun too but it was a mess. I would never burn one because with all the black smoke would bring the fire depart in no time flat.

    Ads are effectively irritating

Ad blockers help a bunch. None of the sites bother me that much as I have a remote ad blocker and a tech that does a monthly update and system check. You might want to refresh your factory settings on your device if you suddenly have ads appear. I am a gold member here only so I could use...

    NOT MINE 1968 Chrysler Town & Country Three-Row - $3,000 - Troy, Michigan

I remember seeing it for sale when it was here in Michigan and thought the same as mentioned, that maybe it was a $500.00 parts car. I love wagons also, and unfortunately in the past have scrapped 4 of them over the years after pilferring the drivetrains. I am currently replacing floor pans in...

(not mine) Dodge motorhome with 440 Near Grand Rapids, MI

I agree. I acquired a 24' Huntsman with a 440 with 44,000 miles that I drove home. Once I pulled the engine and trans. I literally called over 30+ scrap steel, salvage and junk yards. No one would take it. I had to gut it, sell off everything out of the inside, parted out the cab components and...

How did the factory paint these pieces?

Howdy Great day to all. An old body man taught me how to paint grills and emblems. What he said was to tape the front side grill or emblem and spray from the backside. It works perfectly, if your goal is to paint everything but the front chrome/plated areas. I've used this technique...
