    Gearvendor in a mid -70's C Body?

Thanks, unfortunatly I have access to 3 BB long tail shaft 727's. I will have to get the driveshaft shortened and while I am relocating the spring pads (actually welding new spring pads on) from the truck rear end which are on top, to the car rear end style which has the spring pads on the...

    Gearvendor in a mid -70's C Body?

Thanks Dave, I bought a truck housing and a guy had a 4:33 sure grip posi as well. With the 275/35/R15 tires I will need the overdrive and take advantage of the split gearing the gearvendors has to offer.

    Gearvendor in a mid -70's C Body?

I am intending to install a Gear vendor overdrive unit with the 18.5" tail shaft option in my 74 Fury III. Wondering if anyone has done this and if there was floorplan fitment issues or any other issues they encountered so I have a heads up on what to expect. Thanks in advance

    Rust encapsulators

I have used Zero Rust in black satin on all my restorations. It has no UV inhibitor but works well on wheel wells, frames, engine compartments etc. It sprays well if diluted 10% with lacquer thinner. Lays down like paint

    Dash pad Cracks

I dont know of anyone but I tell you what I did. I cut all the cracked old rotted foam and vinyl off the old dash and used eastwoods dash pad filler. Shot it with a texture paint, then shot it with an SEM interior color that I was going for. It came out alright, if you look closely you can see...

727 BB and SB output shaft splines the same so a small block driveshaft to work in BB 727?

Are Big Block and smallblock output shaft splines the same. I am looking on using a drive shaft from a small block 727 for a BB 727 and wanted to make sure there wasnt anything different in splines so that the small block driveshaft will work with the BB transmission?

    Replacement headrests/supports

What are people doing when their headrests get cracked? Is there a solution or aftermarket replacement that will work? These are not fabric but molded around foam like a dash.

    74 Headrests/Head restraints

Has anyone restored a mid 70's Plymouth Fury III or similar and had to do something with your cracked head restraints? Is there an aftermarket part that will work? Of what did you do? Mine are cracked underneath the head restraint, pictures dont show how bad, but I thought these could be...

    What octane fuel?

Whatever you do if the car sits a lot and has non-ethanal rubber treated lines/carb gaskets etc. Do yourself a favor and only by "non-ethanol" premium. While more pricey up front will save you a lot of headaches in the future........well worth that.

    Thinking about a stroker

So its funny you post this as I have had very similar experiences. Smaller valve engines will be snappier and produce more torque in the low RPM's than larger valve engines. I have built a 401AMC with 304 heads, a 350 with 307 heads and have had the same results you are talking about. Ironically...

    Thinking about a stroker

What about the trick flow 240 head and a 440 source stroker kit stroking a 440 to a 512.? Simulated Im getting 525HP @5000 RPM and 645 ft-lbs at 2500?? Real world...yet to be determined but it should move a large heavy C-body rather nicely for the street. Roller cam and all!

How does exterior trim get removed on 74 Fury III

I have not removed the top of the window opening trim as I found it is rivited in place in some spots under the drip rail, so I am planning on leaving it in place for now. The rest of the side trim comes off with a trim removal tool and some phyllips head screws. Its not real hard but patience...

How does exterior trim get removed on 74 Fury III

Going to do a full repaint, but have never messed with an old Mopar before. I have questions how the trim gets removed as this trim is in excellent shape so I dont want to mess it up removing it. So how does the 1) side trim on the body get removed. Looks like some have screws holding it on 2)...

Who makes a seat cover for a front bench seat for 74 Fury III or monaco?

Well that is interesting. On a humorous note. The old saying was never buy a car built on a Friday afternoon or right before a holiday. I guess this car had the bugs worked out of it by now. Eventually when I get to replacing the interior, I will get to see if the sheet is under the seat!!

Who makes a seat cover for a front bench seat for 74 Fury III or monaco?

No luck yet! I found a place that would charge me $3500 to make a mold and create one from scratch. I may start a side business to sell 1974 Plymouth Fury Windshields!! :LOL
