Trailer/tow hitch

My 71 Sport Suburban parts wagon has a class 3 hitch on it. And I have a hitch from a 72 Polara wagon laying around.

I saw this thread and thought I would post a close up of the hitch that came on mine. It does not look factory like the other posts on here but I thought it would give you an idea???

The code A35 factory hitch does look like it has the best attachment points.
A camping trailer dealer in Fairfax County VA installed a receiver hitch on my 74 New Yorker in 1989.
It resembled a basic Reese 2-inch load leveler hitch receiver hitch.
I don't have any pictures of the long-gone car or the hitch. And I don't remember the brand of the hitch.
The point is, that the hitch did attach to the frame rails in similar fashion to a mid 90 p/u truck. And I think an adaptation of such a hitch could be performed.
We pulled a poorly constructed very lightly built 6,000-pound 35-foot camper with the car.
