question on transmission line cooler hose

I installed a aftermarket add on transmission cooler with the lame supplied little fabric in it X pattern type gas line hose, it blew out (split) at over 100+ mph and sprayed ATF all over my windshield at that speed. Use good hose as I suspect at high speeds the pressure can get very high. I...

    Driveshaft for '68 Fury (2-piece / bushing ?)

I've seen that 2-piece driveshaft mentioned in Chrysler sales literature so it's definitely a factory item.

question on transmission line cooler hose

A trick I learned from Hot Rod magazine years ago was to use two clamps but to put the screws on the clamps 180 degrees apart on the hose for more even clamping pressure. May or may not be true, but I did it on an aftermarket trans cooler with rubber lines that I installed on my 1969 Pontiac...

question on transmission line cooler hose

I used hose for a while, and didn't flare the metal lines, but did use 2 clamps a couple of inches apart.

Here are two of my "beauties"... The motor painting I referred to in the comments above is the 383 Satellite. I'll be doing the Chrysler next! Cleaned the motor with Purple Power then Eastwood 2-part primer and Hirsch paint ...came out well! BK

72 New Yorker with cassette player

Thanks Pete for the explanation. My chairs are now at the upholstery. I got the original green color leather and vinyl from SMS fabric and one surplus store in Milwaukee. They said the same as you mentioned. They are saving the eagle stamp in the leather at the top of the chair in the new...

    AMC Gremlin

Very true. But worse, parts in the US for the Gremlin are few and far between - I am talking about interior bits, a real nightmare to find anything in decent shape, NOS is very hard to come by, much harder than for a fuselage c-body. I guess most of these Gremlins went to the scrap yard, and...
