New project: Allen Engine analyzers, restoration?

I need to read through the theory of operation a few times. I really need to replace the power cord as it is frayed in a couple of spots and the ground wire is broken. I saw somewhere that the gauges needed ground.

Can shocks with springs affect ride height?

Think about it this way, If you can compress them with your body weight they likely are not going to affect your body height (if they don’t have additional springs). If your gas tank is empty and trunk empty it may be a little higher, but a full tank of gas will likely override the shock...

    Frankskustom project 300 1965

This is absolutely wonderful. You do incredible work. Just a thought. You might be disappointed with how little sound you will get from the speakers in the console. I built a console with speakers in the sides and it's a challenge to get good sound from them. I'm going to try to put them in...

    We have lost Rip

So sorry to here this. I met him in-person at Carlisle and he is one of the guys that reached out to me and really made me feel welcome. We had connection with the restoration of our slab sided 300s. I still owe him a beer or 2 for sending me NOS points and condenser. He would not take any...

    We have lost Rip

My first post was simply a guy reaction. The first year I came to Carlisle I had Olivia (8) and Aaron(6) with me. Rip engaged with the kids and made all of us feel welcome. That night we went to dinner with him, Jer (bigbarneycars), 75landyatch, and some others. They all were great about making...

    Oversize lifters

I'd say to measure before you put any money into this. AFIK, there are no oversize lifters available. IMHO, there's three options. One is finding another block (obviously). Another is having the lifter bores bushed. I don't know the expense on that, or if there's any shops doing that...

What did you name your car?

There's some nice cars in these pages! I have never named any of my cars, for the same reason I don't refer to them as "he" or She," they are not alive. I do not Anthropomorphize mechanical things, nor my pets. For instance, if I had a male dog, I would not refer to his "manhood," as he has...
