What did you name your car?

I tried finding a related thread but could not seem to find one, but maybe I didn’t look hard enough. Anyways, curious question, what did you all name your cars if you did?

Since now having owned 3 cars, I’ve named my 2 daily drivers

Buckie a 1997 Olds LSS (may it rest in peace )

Clunkie a 1996 Olds Eighty Eight Royal

Now I named the cars like this because Buckie…. Bucked and Clunkie always had a clunk in the suspension. Now even though I bought the Chrysler at 16, 4 years on I still have yet to name it, Until now.

So please tell me if yall think the name is dumb but I’m getting the vibe that she’s a “Candy”. She’s rough around the edges and not the shining star she used to be, however she still finds ways to be cruel and drain my wallet I think it’s fitting ‍♂️ if I’m wrong or if it’s dumbView attachment 703114 tell me, but this car does make me think of that kind of a woman

Background: 1965 Sport Fury, recently had complete restoration, but will never be done, with approximately 1,200 miles since completion, three years to complete process, owned car 36 years. I originally just called it "The Fury" which then went to the "Money Pit" but now has migrated to "POS," on a good day! Beautiful car which I have come to believe does not want to be driven and has a secret desire to be lazy and just wants be in the garage or in a museum! Sad to say, but my other car which is a 66 GTO convertible, 389, tri-power, 5 speed which I have had for 3 1/2 years and is always there and ready to go is "My Baby!" My goal is to eventually migrate back from "POS" to just "The Fury!"

There's some nice cars in these pages!

I have never named any of my cars, for the same reason I don't refer to them as "he" or She," they are not alive. I do not Anthropomorphize mechanical things, nor my pets. For instance, if I had a male dog, I would not refer to his "manhood," as he has none.

But my wife did call my '62 New Yorker "the Beast."

I'm not a car namer but it happens once in a while. I seem to insist on renaming places though don't know why it's kind of the same thing it would seem.
Sometimes in the case of my dually or coronet and some others what it is really gets used like a name but does not feel that way for all.

Anyhow some sisters in high-school drove a long bodied dodge van 79ish. We called it the meat wagon..

I called my beater nova green machine in some type of defense because the wife hated it and would not ride in it.she stole my 66 suburban and calls it the beast and insists others do the same.

My mom called her AMC rebel la bamba something to do with the curb feels it had.

My step dad called the truck we all learned to drive in, bullet hole, as did we all. It was shot by a stranger during elk season..

My main motorcycle which I have been riding 25 years was named the big bike by neice and nephew due to it being a tall chopper

My red truck belonged to a couple of different friends the first one that did much work to it calls it ol red. As do I when speaking to him.

My 300 is The Chrysler

My buddy called my 73 toronado the hyena because it was short in the rear.

That's about all I can remember.

Oh yeah loggers would get paid on the 10th and the 25th... My dad said on the Friday after you could catch a ride in a green Pontiac Catalina known as the Winnemucca express.
You would need to be in it when it left town or out on the roadside with a half case of beer when it left town...
