    1972 440 Main Bearings

Main thing is that the locating tangs are correctly indexed in the caps and such. Which also means the correct diamter.

Will dual knob radio fit in the hole?

Same mounting platform into the earlier 1990s, pre-LH car radios, as I recall. Faceplates became a bit curved, but same mounting size and lugs.

    Timing chain slipped a tooth?

Time for the Hopster! You can rummage around later and find another reluctor wheel.

WANTED Want to buy 1960 Plymouth

I am looking for a 1960 Plymouth Fury HT or possibly a 1960 Belvedere Sedan. The hardtop could be 2 or 4 door but prefer Red or Black and have the Rear Sportsdeck, Torqueflite and front bumper guard. Skirts would be a plus. The Belvedere must be Black with White top like the one my dad owned...

    Timing chain slipped a tooth?

I can’t reset the gap because the reluctor wheel itself is in chunks. I do have the screw. I just removed it to see if it would come off easily.

    Timing chain slipped a tooth?

The "breaker" plate does move with the vacuum advance, so I would look at the plate pivot. If you can't put a good reason on it, I'd suggest you buy a nice rebuilt genuine Mopar unit from @halifaxhops.

    Timing chain slipped a tooth?

I would reset the gap and see if it's OK. Do you have the screw that is missing?

    Timing chain slipped a tooth?

I think I would get a known good distributor from @halifaxhops . I sure don't have much faith in mechanical or electrical parts now days.

    Undercoating for new pans.

Prime and paint first. Then undercoating. Which brand? I don't have a recommendation. Others here will. A "coating on top" - do you mean under the carpet? There are all kinds of sound deadeners and insulation - from original jute type materials to adhesive based sheets, to spray on...

Easy one. It's the plug for the delay timer for the ignition light.

    Timing chain slipped a tooth?

Diagnosis: catastrophic interference between reluctor wheel and pickup. Can I just replace the wheel and pickup or do I mistrust this entire distributor as “chinesium” and replace it out right?

    Undercoating for new pans.

I installed new floor and trunk pans. What kind of undercoating would you recommend, keeping in mind that I don't have a lift? Should I also put a coating on the top of the pans? Thanks!

    Connector identification

I Know this is a c-body forum, but i happen to be working on my 1969 satellite, and found a connector i cannot identify. The single connector, i believe goes to the light above the ignition key, but the weird 3-prong one has me stumped. Maybe a non-existant buzzer or something?

    1968? Fender Tag Decoding Help

Hi, Matt. Thanks for posting this interesting fender tag. It is from an interesting 6-window 4-door sedan which was available as a Newport or New Yorker. The tag is from a 1965 Newport and a decode report is attached. I had to do a little research to complete it an that is appreciated. There...
