I have been searching through the forums and various websites in an attempt to decode the fender tag on and learn a bit more about my family’s four door Chrysler Newport which I believe is a 1968. However, I have not been very successful in doing so and was helping someone here would maybe be able to decode the fender tag! All help and input is appreciated. Thanks

1965 or older. I know what a 66-67-68 tag looks like and this is not one of those.

Unfortunately no photos currently. Hoping to go get it out of storage and can get some within the next month.

Here is the information I was able to decode online from the fender tag, but any confirmation or more information would certainly be appreciated.

Hi, Matt. Thanks for posting this interesting fender tag. It is from an interesting 6-window 4-door sedan which was available as a Newport or New Yorker. The tag is from a 1965 Newport and a decode report is attached. I had to do a little research to complete it an that is appreciated. There probably is a two-digit inspector's stamp in the upper RH area which might be read after a little scuffing and close inspection. Black with some gold accents. Please post some interior and exterior pix.
