Probably just disconnected in the column. I have sometimes honked my horn while turning. I usually do the one or two finger deal at the center by the cross over for the horn. It doesn't take much to bump/press it while turning.

I used a set of unknown (I don't remember which brand name) B Body headers on my 68 Newport with no clearance issues. I may have had to ding a tube or two.

I have 10'-4" ceilings and it is very tight for two B Bodies, but works. I use it mainly for storage. I do have the trolley jack for doing brakes and can also do transmission and center section swaps easily up on it as well.
