Alternator question on a 69 Newport regarding bolts / torque specs

I'll give that a watch tonight, thank you. I appreciate the help. The previous owner took the AC compressor out, went to a single V belt pully on the alternator, I think he tried to eliminate as much wiring as possible. The Radio works but the horn doesn't...lol

(First car) 77 Newport Odometer and Aftermarket Choke

If the speedometer works, that means the cable and transmission gear are intact and working. That means the problem is in the speedometer head somewhere. It may be the easiest to find another and replace the entire unit. A picture of the choke will help a lot. Why do you want to disconnect?

(First car) 77 Newport Odometer and Aftermarket Choke

As my first car, I'm kinda clueless. The odometer doesn't work, nor does the trip. The speedometer works. So I pulled it out, now when I check for the malfunction, what direction do I turn it? Forward of reverse? Now I'm not too into how all the certain criteria and nuances with Newports...

Alternator question on a 69 Newport regarding bolts / torque specs

If this described by-pass is in place without any other modifications to the remainder of the stock under-dash wiring, it defeats all stock circuit protection in the event of a short in any part of the unfused factory circuits.

I'll check on the horns and wiring. Wheel well trim is Body style and make specific. The Plymouth wheel well trim is different than the Chrysler cars due to different fender Contours.

    O MY

The 61 Dodge letters are difficult to locate. Most used ones will have pitting / faded chrome. Also note that the "center D" on the hood is unique, has a separate part number and does NOT interchange with the other "D" What are you looking for, driver quality to match what's on the car or...

World of Mopar Norwalk Raceway Sept 19th-22nd 2024

Overall good attendance, the weather was perfect and the Norwalk track is an excellent venue. Though attendance for the car show and swap meet are nowhere near the amount back in the early 2000's when this show started and before it fell off the radar when the dates were changed to July instead...

For Sale 1968 Plymouth Fury Parts 4 Cars!

Interested in the horn relay, horns and wiring from relay to the horns, assuming they work. Also pass side front wheel well trim; I think it was all the same across all '67 C-bodies. For my '67 300.

    AC Issues

So both the blower and the compressor are not coming on. Is there a relay, etc that controls this?

Alternator question on a 69 Newport regarding bolts / torque specs

So are those that are running a 1 wire alternator running a fuse between the positive battery post and the charge wire off the alternator? The instructions didn't mention putting a fuse at the post... like running anything like an amplifier. We went this route as the mechanic gave up chasing...

I’m keeping an eye out for speed parts but they are hard to find and very expensive these days. I get the Christine comment all the time. I will never make it a clone, it’s over done and unoriginal. I love the movie and I just got the book, but I’m making this car my own thing.
