Where Do You Guys Get New Replacement Brake Rotors for the 69 - 72 Fuselage C Bodies?

I'm pretty sure they are doing the pre 73 rotors in unicast now but you would want to verify that the part in the box is actually the small bearing rotor and not a misboxed 73. I think the grease seal is smaller on the pre 73 so that would be the easiest tell. Kevin

Least expensive way to bright headlights?

Definitely want to run those off relays. I put a set of 55w LEDs on the high beam side of my W900, 4 light system. 6000 lumens. Fkn BRIGHT!!! Every bit as bright or brighter than the 100w aircraft landing lights I used to run years ago with no more electrical load than an incandescent halogen...

Try moving the crank 10-15 degrees before or after TDC and see how much wind is passing into the crankcase. Did this rebuild include oversize pistons? Kevin

Any blow by? If the machine shop did a poor job honing it or the cylinder finish isn't compatible with the ring choice, the rings might not seat. Depending on the ring material, if the engine didn't fire immediately the first time, it can compromise seating. That tends to fly in the face of no...

Who is rebuilding RV2 Compressors these days?

I recall reading somewhere that if you drain the R12 oil out and refill the sump with the correct amount of 134a type oil, (PAG?) any residual will mix in and not fight with 134a, and it's also backwards compatible with R12 or any of the so called equivalents. If you can find another good RV2...

If you followed the instructions to the letter, with those results, you should hear air blasting out either the exhaust, intake or the crankcase, ie oil fill or dipstick tube. Ideally, engine should be warm. It should be at verified TDC, using a positive stop. The indicator on the balancer...

    New dash pad

That's amazing given it's for a 61 and that you'd be hard pressed to get one from a North American supplier for something "popular" at that price point or time frame. Kevin

    Steeringbox acting strange...

Back this adjustment off a turn or 2 and see if your problem goes away. If it does, tighten it up again until you feel it drag again and then back it off just enough for it not to catch. If it doesn't go away, there may be something internal wrong with the box but I would expect it to be...

    1962 Imperial Crown Disc Brakes

Shoes are still available. If the drums are still serviceable, that's your easy button solution. The upper and lower balljoints are the same as Dodge pickups to 1993 and 71 to 73 Imperials. I believe one of the articles linked above shows you could use a 71-73 Imperial spindle on a 62 and have...
