I have two Imperials waiting their turn for full restorations. I need to sell my Valiant and my Fury before I can consider any more cars.

1972-73 IMPERIAL FOR SALE Tracker starting NOW into INFINITY.

Too bad it’s getting parted. The ABS alone makes it worth saving. I heard only 4 or 5 72 & 73s are known to still exist with ABS.

    Now what do I do?

See if you can find and extractor to remove it, also heat is your friend. Use a torch to get it cherry and shoot it with penetrating oil until it cools, that helps to loosen up stuck threads.

    My neighbor ruined my plans

I will restore the car eventually. It now takes the place of my mom and dad’s Econoline they bought in 1998. We had to stop driving it because it was so unsafe from rust. This is the new family road trip car.

Frank B. Rhodes plans for Chrysler.

It could be a great opportunity. Imperial could come back with LeBaron an make an SUV to compete with Navigator and Escalade. Then Chrysler should have a New Yorker and 300 plus a mid-size SUV like Aviator. Make Dodge a Charger, Challenger, Coronet and keep the Durango. Make the trucks Dodge...

    Orange plug wires.

I know, I’m saying my car had black wires in spite of electronic ignition.

    Orange plug wires.

I’ll throw a wrench in the works and tell you my 1972 Imperial with a November 71 build had black wires with a Q3-71 date code. You can see one orange boot for cylinder 7 just hanging out and the other for cylinder 8 by the radiator hose.

    Vintage Schwinn Bikes

I love anything made in USA. I would rather buy or save old classic stuff than buy new throw away items.

    Vintage Schwinn Bikes

I saved a 1978 Schwinn suburban from the garbage man. It looks right at home with my Imperials. All it needs is a shifter cable and a brake cable. Yes, I know it’s a women’s bike, but it’s still cool as hell.

    I have a confession to make…

It’s my understanding that Imperial was standard with electronic ignition from the start. I have my early build 11/71 green Imperial that had original wires on the engine with a Q3-71 date code and they were the older style black wires. I do not know when the change occurred but the orange NOS...

    I have a confession to make…

I got to installing the FlowKooler water pump that showed up the week after Carlisle. I found the idler is worn out. That is on order and I will repaint the bracket when the new pulley shows up.

1973 Plymouth Fury 360 Crank, No start

Even a new distributor did not get it running! I’m amazed. It must be a wiring issue then.

1973 Plymouth Fury 360 Crank, No start

I had a brainstorm overnight and thought about it. A new distributor is here in 4 days.
