New project: Allen Engine analyzers, restoration?

I have a new 24x24 piece of 22 gauge sheet metal and my new 24” brake showed up. I just need to mount it to a piece of plywood so I can clamp it to my work bench.

New project: Allen Engine analyzers, restoration?

I gave up on fixing my crappy welds on that 22 gauge sheet metal. I probably could have used a bunch of filler, but that’s not my style. So I drilled out the spot welds and removed the whole side. I also ordered a 24” sheet metal brake. I will make a new panel and spot weld it on like the...

That's exactly right. Its the same MC, and one can get a good knockoff version with or without a booster, if one wishes. My knockoff still works very well.

Installing torsion bars - no instructions on clocking them correctly or evenly into the LCA ???

There is one position for each bar, when inserted into the FRONT socket, where there is about 1 inch of a gap between the adjuster cam or arm and the top of the adjuster nut. This position gives the maxium capability for twist or torque loading (and hence ride height) of the bar when the...

I believe that the only difference in the MC for manual to power is the little retainer on the rear that holds the piston in place. Looks something like this. No boot like the manual does. (actually, looking at it after I posted, this is probably a bad example as the boot is sitting there...

Installing torsion bars - no instructions on clocking them correctly or evenly into the LCA ???

In the FSMs of that similar vintage ('66 and '70), it mentioned that when removing the front bars, to position the special tool to remove them with about 1/2 or so to the rear of the bar. Where more of a "clean shot" could be had with the hammer. It ALSO mentioned that this was where there was...

Need help to know what some cables are for

Thanks for the reply and information. Being that you are in Mexico, if you can get into USA Facebook, you might search for a 1991 Chrysler Imperial owners group and ask the same question. Just be aware of "data charges" and such. Most of the online dealers' Chrysler parts depts used to use...

    NOT MINE 1971 Imperial 2-door.

Hope they are ok, whichever guy you're referring to. It does sometimes take a while to get shipping quotes, or even finding a carrier - and to that effect it's probably more difficult to find one willing to do a haul starting way up in Maine. It may take weeks, speaking from experience. @TX9...

I know it doesn't help your situation to say it, but I really wish I could be your guy on this one. But be patient, he (or she) will come along.

    NOT MINE 68 Sport Fury fasttop, red-black, 383 H-code 4-speed $28,900 (ebay)

Evans makes right-price engine-bay wiring harnesses for our cars, that's probably a faster/better option.

There might be some history/stories from the Hurst Olds camp that might shed light on some of these questions? Esp as our Hurst was being done right in the middle of the Olds years.
