NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

Shows what I know lol. I really just like the shape of those vehicles from the early 70's. I'm glad that every so often I'll see one pop up on Craigslist. Gives me confidence that I'll be able to find a good one for sale when I've got the money for it.

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

At the moment, I'm not looking to get myself into another old car. I'd love to, but I simply cannot afford to at this time. Though when the time comes that I am in the market for another old Mopar, I'd really like to score myself a decent 4 door C-Body from the '70-'73 year range. Something like...

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

Well, the few photos I took of the car were the ones I took of it when I was trying to sell it myself. Those are all stored on my old laptop, so I'd have to dig that up from wherever it is to regain access to those photos. I thought I had saved them to a Google Drive or something, but turns out...

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

Yeah, using the Polara as a daily definitely wasn't the brightest idea I've had. Thankfully, where I was working at the time, my boss really liked the car and was very understanding and patient with me on the few occasions where it wasn't able to bring me to work on time. I actually once had the...

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

Honestly, the seats themselves weren't too bad under the seat covers. The stitching had started to come apart slightly on the front bench where the driver would usually sit, but they were in overall good condition. Virtually no damage to the rear seat. No missing cushioning/stuffing or duct tape...

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

To be completely honest with you, at times even I didn't quite understand why I was putting so much money into the Polara. Sunk cost fallacy, perhaps? Maybe I thought that if I just gave it a little more money and fixed a few more things on her, that maybe THIS time she wouldn't break on me...

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

I most certainly will! Would hate to make another poor decision due to rose-colored glasses haha

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

Every so often when I'm missing the Polara, I'll do a Google search of '73 Polaras just to look at pictures of them and think about the good times I had with the car (and sometimes even the bad ones lol). I usually don't scroll down too far on the search results, but today I did and just...

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

Unfortunately, I did not. My parents got fed-up with the amount of financial strain and stress the Polara was putting on me that when her transmission gave out, they convinced me to call it quits then and there and helped me buy a newer used car. I'd still like to own another older Mopar though...

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara - 47k Original Miles - Mopar - $8,700 (San Bernardino)

I can tell you all definitively that it was not worth it, because I actually owned that very car (Yep, even paid $8700 for it like a total sucker. I was so dumb, I didn't even try to haggle lol) At the same time though, I do not regret my decision, even if I didn't have it for very long. It was...
