Perhaps I'm reading into this, but here's some advice an older guy gave me years ago: don't mess with your daily driver.
He meant 'don't modify today the car you need to drive to work tomorrow', but the coin's flipside rings true also - always have a daily driver that doesn't need to be worked on.
I had very good luck with my avatar car as a daily driver for several years but the advent of a 'modern' car for my commute was a game-changer.

Honestly, the seats themselves weren't too bad under the seat covers. The stitching had started to come apart slightly on the front bench where the driver would usually sit, but they were in overall good condition. Virtually no damage to the rear seat. No missing cushioning/stuffing or duct tape repairs or any of what you might expect. I still kept the covers on for the entire time that I owned the car though.

Yeah, using the Polara as a daily definitely wasn't the brightest idea I've had. Thankfully, where I was working at the time, my boss really liked the car and was very understanding and patient with me on the few occasions where it wasn't able to bring me to work on time. I actually once had the power steering belt jump off the pulley on my way to work. Almost hilariously, the road leading up to my old workplace consisted of several tight turns. It was as if life was playing a mean prank on me that morning. For the most part though, it did just fine getting me where I needed to go, even if it wasn't always entirely happy to do so.

So if LowQualityImage owned this car, and talks about previous owner(s), how does the seller get away with saying he's the "second owner"?

But -
There's apparently a belief out there that a 1-owner car can still be called that after multiple people have tossed it around.
I guess they consider it comparable to 'original paint' or something.

I can tell you all definitively that it was not worth it, because I actually owned that very car (Yep, even paid $8700 for it like a total sucker. I was so dumb, I didn't even try to haggle lol) At the same time though, I do not regret my decision, even if I didn't have it for very long. It was my first car, and as a young person who's into old cars, it made me feel really cool. It felt pretty sweet having people take interest in what i was driving. If I had the chance to go back and do things over, I definitely would've chosen a different car to have that experience with, as this one proved to be real difficult to keep alive (plenty of deferred maintenance on the part of the previous owner(s)). (...). So I guess in a strange, oddly specific way, it was worth it to me.

Well, the few photos I took of the car were the ones I took of it when I was trying to sell it myself. Those are all stored on my old laptop, so I'd have to dig that up from wherever it is to regain access to those photos. I thought I had saved them to a Google Drive or something, but turns out I hadn't. I can't recall off the top of my head whether or not I took a photo of the fender tag itself, but if I did, it would be in that collection of photos.

What are you looking for at the moment?

At the moment, I'm not looking to get myself into another old car. I'd love to, but I simply cannot afford to at this time. Though when the time comes that I am in the market for another old Mopar, I'd really like to score myself a decent 4 door C-Body from the '70-'73 year range. Something like a Coronet, a Satellite, a Newport, or perhaps even another Polara if I'm lucky enough to find one in decent condition.

Shows what I know lol. I really just like the shape of those vehicles from the early 70's. I'm glad that every so often I'll see one pop up on Craigslist. Gives me confidence that I'll be able to find a good one for sale when I've got the money for it.
