Found a reproduction set on ebay for like 12 bucks. Gonna have to give them a shot. Mine could probably be cleaned up and look ok but they're still probably 40 years old. No need to gamble on their tension when I can grab a set so cheap.

The clamps are starting to grow on me too. Ive been considering getting a reproduction set. It definitely needs new tires. The ones that are on there are not in the greatest shape.

The cooling system is definitely on the list. Its got all the factory original spring clamps everywhere. Not one worm drive clamp on the entire vehicle. It needs belts too. The ones that are on there are dry rotted. So far so good though.

I'm just curious how my accidental double entendre constitutes poor grammar as you say. Anyway, Ill get some more pics of the car soon. I put a new fuel pump and filter on the car and it wants to run but needs a tune up. I ordered some plug wires and a distributor cap. I have a good rotor that I...

Well I got the carb removed and pulled apart. Found a nice smelly syrup caked everywhere. Got her cleaned and re-gasketed and put back on the car. Havent tried to get her running again. It was late last night when I got it bolted on the the wife demanded I watch the new Big Bang Theory with her...

So I got a battery for it. Put some fresh gas in it to see if I could get it to fire. After about 3 seconds of cranking my wife yells at me to stop. Walk around the front of the car and theres oil everywhere. Thinking to myself...CRAP!!! I tell her to crank it over so I can see where its coming...

I love the blue. Paint will be pretty easy and cheap cause theres not a ding or dent in the entire body. I got a guy that will do it for $600.

Hopefully the old man smell will scrub out too. Found some old horse racing papers with how much money the guy had won back in 1992 at the horse track in Albuquerque. He didnt do too bad. Maybe he won enough money to retire and move to Florida and thats why he donated the car to the church.

Thanks for all the comments. The guy I bought it from had won it at a church fundraiser. The car was donated to the fundraiser by the original owner. Its got, we think anyway, about 74000 original miles. I found it on craigslist and it had been sitting since 92 I think. That's the date on the...
