Rare machine...not too many NY sedans made. Most were 4 Dr Hardtops.
Good for you. Sounds (and looks) like you've got a great car to tool around in....and got it on the cheap as well. Thanks for all the comments. The guy I bought it from had won it at a church fundraiser. The car was donated to the fundraiser by the original owner. Its got, we think anyway, about 74000 original miles. I found it on craigslist and it had been sitting since 92 I think. That's the date on the New Mexico tag. Its gonna get a repaint and vinyl top. Gonna keep the white vinyl top and go with either the original B7 blue or change it to B5. Haven't decided yet. Im on the fence about wheels and tires though. I like the fat white walls and original hubcaps (which i have). But I also think that some black steel wheels would look good with some white letter tires. The interior will be left completely stock. Its in amazing shape except for the package tray and the top of the back seat from sun damage. Ill get that repaired to look factory. The headliner is perfect and all of the interior lenses that are always lost and broken are in perfect condition. Just gotta get the neck on the radiator repaired and Im gonna start driving it. Its been dubbed the USS New Yorker.
Just showing the necessity of proper grammar...the the wife demanded I watch the new Big Bang Theory with her. Ill get her fired up and see how she runs
