WANTED Don Robertson Chrysler Emblem Wanted

I should have added that some dealership's would have scrimped on the barrel clips and used speed nuts. To use those with that type of emblem requires a flat surface. I could be wrong, but looking at the placement of those two emblems, I'd say they land in hollow territory, meaning barrel clips...

WANTED Don Robertson Chrysler Emblem Wanted

The first picture is of a '69 apparently and the second is a '72, so I'd say that would be the correct one for your '72. That style has two posts which require two holes drilled through the trunklid and are held on with barrel clips. Your car could have been ordered and the owner requested the...

NOT MINE 1961 Chrysler 300G (auction Nov 8 2024) Greensboro, NC

Gorgeous car! Strange write up. Manual transmission! Anyone know about the rear emblem? It appears to be a "C", while the side emblems are clearly "G's."

    Autotemp 2 .help needed

Autotemp II, version 2.0, oh no! The road to success is always under construction. Thirty years later, they nailed it! Even have dual climate control and what not these days. Mercedes really made a major step forward in butt crack cooling when they introduced their perforated upholstery with...

    Autotemp 2 .help needed

I didn't realize that, knowing that may have influenced my response. However, he also said "autotemp ||." Which is what 71-73 fuselages came with, hopefully they worked out some kinks with the '74+ version.

Usually a heater core is disconnected because it's leaking inside the car, so watch for that. Is your controller still connected? The piece with four coolant lines and a dozen or so vacuum lines. If so, it's not working. Disconnect the coolant lines, connect two straight together and the other...

NOT MINE Not Mine: 1970 Sport Fury

James Dean special? Is that some sort of sick joke? I don't get it one way or the other. Doesn't seem like a selling feature. Nice car.

    Bastardized 1959 "Coronet" build

What do you plan on doing for rear glass? And do you have the '59 glass? I'm sure you're aware many top chops use the original glass, lowered into a recess. Might be a good exercise to gently place into position if you have it.

Replacing the vinyl on a 73 Imperial sunroof

Very nicely done! I am a huge fan of the way you didn't do the A pillar seam! Tailor-made!

    Where to get a windshield?

Dang! Not so strange that it feels like half the weight, according to your measurements it's not even half as thick as the old one. That is disappointing, and one way to decrease shipping costs. I didn't notice any major difference in the fuselage one I purchased.

Heater fan doesn't work - 1971 Plymouth Fury III

Looks like the resistor has seen some pretty good heat. The longest spring (full on?) seems to have melted a bit into the board. There may be a loose connection underneath. Great pictures!

    72 Newport/front sway bar

The iron block Hemi V8 is considerably heavier than the all aluminum V6, so yes. However later V6's got the rear sway bar. I figured I try it and I like it. It fishtails so evenly now it's unbelievable. On snow of course, it is a 4000 pound car with a V6. 51/49 f/r weight distribution doesn't hurt.

    72 Newport/front sway bar

Daimler did the same with the LX's. Early Hemi cars got a rear sway, V6's did not. The mounts are there though, so I bought one from a junkyard Hemi and installed it with new links. Night and day difference!

    Where to get a windshield?

Yes, that is correct. The corner's of the Indo glass don't follow the exact curvature of the originals. However we're only talking about an eighth of an inch at the bottom corner's, the top corner's are pretty close. This requires diligence on the installers part. The gentleman that installed...
