I am having the same issue with my mini starter. What was your solution? I'm going to the original rebuilt because I know it fits.

    mini starter fit issue

The battery cable insulator hits the 440 engine block and prevents the mini starter from being installed correctly. See pics. the starter is crooked. Anyone have this issue before. My solution is to rebuild the starter I removed unless someone has a better idea.

    Booster Woes

It's for a 1970 New Yorker. A new part would be fine, I just want a quality part. I hear that some boosters last only a couple of years and climbing inder my dash to remove that thing every two years is what I want to avoid.

    Booster Woes

Suggestions needed for a quality new power break booster source. A local mechanic said AutoZone is good, another said Rock Auto is fine. I want a quality booster that will last. 1970 NEW YORKER DRIVER BUILD PROJECT- BEFORE / CURRENT BUILD PICS

Hi Everyone, Here is my new exhaust. Originally the car had a single exhaust, you saw the previous pics of what it had when I got it (scroll up if not). This new system provides a low base rumble at stop lights and very quiet as I move down the road. It's nice. The work was done at McInnis...

1970 NEW YORKER DRIVER BUILD PROJECT- BEFORE / CURRENT BUILD PICS

Hi Everyone, I'd like to share some pics of my car before any real work is done. Today I'm getting a new exhaust system installed, going for a very quiet H pipe set up. It still has trouble starting, but it is drivable and has a high idle. The plan is to do the mechanical work first, then the...

    My new 1970 New Yorker

As I said before, Tim is a good big brother! His help and knowledge on this adventure has been and will continue to be unmeasurable. Thanks T. Enough of that, back to work; Can someone post a good link that describes dashboard removal? The break booster has to come out and since I am taking that...

    My new 1970 New Yorker

You totally get it. I have two kids, the oldest going to be 15 in a few weeks. This driver I'm building is for them as much as it is for me. Sand on these seats will more than likely happen, but the dog stays home when we go to the beach.

Here is the build sheet for the car. The engine and trans came out of a '67. Blue 440.
