    Threaded stud is where wire should plug onto. If either piston hits stud, completes circuit, red light on dash comes on. If this is not accurate someone else will chime in. There are no dumb questions!

    The wire should go to a switch on the proportioning valve below the master cylinder. A plug on lead. I am still learning myself on wiring working on my 68 300. All for brake lines hook up to this small block. There should be a stud to plug on wire.

    I think would be when you loose brake pedal and it goes down to far, red light on dash comes on to warn you. Also may when emergency brake is applied. Does not effect brake lights.

    Maybe this will help, switch should be down by shift lever on transmission.

    I have heard that mentioned earlier, that would be ideal! Unhook both lines, drain radiator tank at the same time. Wonder if that would work without damaging the pump.

    Should be brown wire coming off starter relay and goes down to transmission, thats on my 68 300.

    I just found one of these studs on e bay, comes with all hardware. On its way!

    I still use the screwdriver method in a pinch!! Works everytime.

    That does look familiar. I will start looking. When I bought this car all linkage was unhooked and hardware was removed from old carter carb, like alot of things on the car.

    I thought there was a spring on it but not there now. It may have broke. I want to make sure itwas open.
