Just my 2 cents, my 69 Newport still has her original 383. All we have done is put a 4 barrel on her. She has plenty of power. Leave yours as she is for now and enjoy her. If at some point you pull the car down for some major work, then think about adding the 440.

Just got the 78 back from the detailer. Took him a few days to buff her down but what a difference. I think the rear quarters were repainted at point. last pic is how she looked when I got her. If you need detailing near SW Ohio look these guys up.

Had her out driving this weekend. Put about 100 miles on her, using up the old gas and getting everything repeated. She starting to run pretty good. Windows and wipers are working again. Had the 69 out getting her ready for a road trip next month.

Haven't pulled the vinyl top off my Newport yet. But when working on my Galaxie, we pulled a little to much lead out of the roof seam when stripping the paint. We just used bondo to fill it back up
