I had to post. Don't imagine anyone would be interested, but this is my cousin car. It is a piece of art, every weld is perfect, the paint is absolutely amazing.

Cuz has too much money, Mike.

No that is the problem. He really likes the build and everything has to be perfect, by the time he finished he lost the want to drive something this powerful. He has an equally crazy trailer that he is selling separately. I bet he has had it for 6 or 7 years and only used it a few times last year.

Ross will be the first to tell you that I cannot condone this kind of wretched excessive behavior. :D
For a mere fraction of the price he could have had something way more enjoyable. Goldie, for example...

Wow, beautiful car even if it is/was a Corvette! Can't imagine taking a classic '63 vette and making a drag car out of it. Have to agree thou, your cousin has WAY too much money to play with.

Not a bad thing, just jealous.

I'd like to congratulate him on the car and his ability to afford it. The car is absolutely beautiful. Personally he should keep it and race it. Hell I'd de-tune it and drive it, just to f with people.

On a side note regarding the sale.... If only it were closer. Someone had to say it.

He has to sell it, can't afford to keep it. It should have been raced about 6-7 years ago and already sold for another much smaller road project. This was his dream and pretty much consumed him and his finances.

This is actually a new '63 body, meant for this type of application. The headlights, taillights and grill are all airbrushed on a flat surface of the body. The "bumper" is molded into the body and airbrushed to appear like metal.

If the build was his dream then he accomplished it far better than I have of any of my dreams. For that I will congratulate him in spades.

He did all the work himself except the paint, and 3 different shops did the paint. Those are called Ohio Flames and only a couple people do them. The guy that did the airbrushing is out of NJ. He has been racing since the 60's.

OK. I'm starting to get the idea. He had this detailed out in his mind starting waaay back.

You got it. This car was an improvement in nearly every way of the car he raced in the late 90s early 2000s. He loves and is obsessed with the build, racing or driving is secondary to him.

I can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into building this vehicle but it lies outside my interests about as much as a salt flats racer. It is an amazing accomplishment and your cousin deserves full credit for his achievement.

120K is pretty damn cheap for a 6 second ride.

Honestly I think it is basically the material cost he has in the car. The paint was a fortune.

Great guy, I can introduce him to you Ross.:poke:

A ride on every 6 Flags RollerCoaster flying on acid is damn cheaper and a lot longer.
No thanks. I'll just cruise.
I haven't eaten acid in 20 years. Do you know where to get some?

Not the car for me but it is gorgeous.

And 85K for his trailer, I see.

I never knew how much he had in that trailer until I saw his add. All I knew was it had a 10,000 watt diesel generator, and he didn't get it in black because it would have been another $10,000.
