What an adventure trying to find some skins for my furylll. I found some @ $145 a tire Eldorado gt. Only option that I could find in 235/70/14. Will show pics installed later. What a b---h.

14's are tough to find these days......... 15's arent too far behind
Yet you can go into costco and get off the rack 24'" O-rings for your Caprice...
It's a strange new world and I don't recognize it anymore.

I will be doing some touch ups on the interior today (installing seatbelts, hooking up grant steering wheel horn). I will post pics this afternoon.
Ps. Got the new skins and air shocks on last night. Looks good!!!

Thanx, not licensed yet so havnt gotten to show it off much yet. Hopefully have it legal by next weekend.

You can still get 15" on a brand new car.

They are the new 13s.

They will be around for a while.

I imagine about as long as 14s were after they stopped putting them on new cars.

I can get 14" tires all day long. I get 225/70/14 they are 75-100 a piece depending on the brand you want. The 235 are odd balls in the 14" size that's why they are so much. Jason

Some of us would like to know where you get them..... or the brands. (If it's not some sort of secret that requires death after disclosure). I did a on-line search for one firestone 215X14 a while back and it took a week to locate one.... And..only found one.

Most manufactureres have discontinued the 14" line of tires except for the very small sizes. It's even hard to locate ,(cough-cough), imported tires these days.
So far my only choice for tires on my 61 is Corker tire in bias.

Will. Try shopping at Summit Racing. They list an American Clasic 215/75/14 that will get to your house in ah couple dayz. I just had a set of 15"s sent to Philadelphia last week and their already mounted, balanced, and on the Batwagon waiting for me to get there and drive the beast to Carlisle in ah couple weekz. Jer

Thanks Jer..... I'll check it out.......

Just checked..... only the corkers, which I already knew about.
15" all day long.

I bought a set of 4 firestones 225 75 14 whitewall's two years ago for $275.00 mounted and balanced.... at Firestone.. All 14's have been discontinued now and corkers are $210 ea.... just for the tire.

Doesn't Cooper still make a 215 75 14? I know they discontinued the 225 75 14 a while back but thought they were still making the 215's.

Price has gone up on these. they are cheaper if you get them through your local tire shop. I have run these. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bfg-37137

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...omSizeSearch=&width=225/&ratio=70&diameter=14

Currently Iam running the Firestone Indy Firehawk 500 in 225/70/14. Cooper makes this size also, so does Hankook.
