1965 Chrysler New Yorker

I would disagree. The odo reads 60xxx. So the leading 6 has just moved into position when the car rolled over 59999. When it turns 61000 the 6 will likely nudge into line. That how just about every mechanical odometer in any car I owned behaved.
I agree with Greg.

Just to roll it up so it also shows the actual backup mileage.

Boy that looks like a clean car. Maybe you still have a chance if it doesn't sell.

Keep an eye on it Red, though beautiful, I agree with Rexus' 5000 estimate. Maybe once the seller realizes he is asking a little too much he will get back to you. Room and finances withstanding, I would love to have that car as a mate to my 65.

Nope, I didn't move fast enough and I wasn't going to pay $7,500.00.
Put in a bid for $5001.00 and hope he gets back to you with a Second Chance Offer.
Have him come to you!

This is his 3rd time relisting it and I think the highest it has gotten is a little over $4,000.00.

Any idea why it doesn't have New Yorker taillights? Aren't they supposed to have lenses with a sort of silver-stripe overlay?

This was in my response as to if he had documentation on the car...

bob i bought the car 20 years ago,as i had told you, from an old italain man in goshen, ny.while on was on a job site.my friend gary, who i have not talked to,because of the passage of time, was on the job site w me,and a whole bunch of other guys, and told me that he had peeked through the window,of an old garage, and saw the 65 chrysler and a 1969 dodge polara 500 conv.w a 383 4 barrel carb, leather tack auto on the floor.i told him to stop busting my chops, because all of my friends knew i was looking for a 65 2 door n.y,and i thought he was pulling my leg,as he always used to do. anyway to make a long story shortr,i went over to the garage w him,and i thought i was in a dream, you know bob, that once in a while,in life you will run into these kind of things.i could not believe my eyes, when i saw my dream car, aand the dodge polara 500 2 door conv.i went to the front door of the peopleshome, knocked on the door, and i ended up buying both cars.both of them, had no miles, and they no kidding had cobwebs on them.the man that owned them was the original of both the cars, and he was a retired, builder.he told me in broken english, that he did not want to sell either car, that they were for his grandsons. i then asked him if he would get in contact w then,to see if they really wanted the cars, because they were both ,i found out later, that the two of them were musclar jocks, and they hated the cars, can you believe it,bob. they both wanted a sports car.they said that the two chryslers were for old people, and they were not intrested.the grandfather called me about 3 weeks after i looked at the 2 cars, and it turns out, that i bought them. i sold the dodge right away,i should have kept, that one too,but i did not, stupid, right, but i kept the car i always wanted,i do not have any records on either car,but i know that the miles are correct.the car is on ebay as we speak,so taka look at it,the pictures are not to great, but the car is.really original and beautiful,as i told you.

Don't want to start a rucus or burst your bubble, but the misalignment of the digits in the odometer picture, tells me that car has rolled the odo over at least once. So unless your seller has maintenace receipts that track the mileage of the car, as good as this car looks in the pictures, I would proceed on the basis of the car having 160k on it and not 60.
I must agree the bezel around the cluster in not put back in place.....like it's been out and not reinstalled correctly............just my .02

I sent the owner an email asking if he would accept an offer while the car is listed on ebay....pending an inspection. The hold up I had was I needed to sell a car first....that was done today.

All right then, lets move forward on this one, it needs to be a part of this forum so I can see it when I want.
