Those are fine hitches. These images were wiped out in my other thread due to photo hosting being discontinued, so I am uploading them here to consolidate the information in one thread. Weight is around 70 lbs with fasteners. Harder to build, but it does save a few squirrels some headaches.

Yes, the bumper is spaced out 1/4" (the thickness of the channel).
